Performance Review:
This is a very graceful sword when used with two hands. Due to it’s rather large length and long handle it is not the most easily used sword if only one hand is used. When used with two hands the sword seems to flow nearly effortlessly through various drills, thrusting is obviously one of its main functions since the point control is nearly effortless.
Appearance:
I do have a soft spot for long graceful swords and this particular Albion model definitely fits that bill. The blade on this sword was cleanly executed with no grind marks or other defects, the pommel and cross were free of casting marks and on this sword were blued an even dark black color. The pommel is peened in place and the peening is nearly invisible. The handle has Albions standard leather cord imprinted
grip with a single riser which is nicely done. This sword is up to Albion’s usual high standards.
Conclusion:
This is an outstanding sword, I think of the Albion XVa types that I’ve handled it is my favorite and if you are looking for a sword from this genre I would highly recommend giving this graceful and well constructed sword a look.
