Performance Review:
As with most of the other Del Tin swords I reviewed in this lot I discovered that the 5120 was rather unwieldy. I believe that this is because of the combined factors of the balance point being rather far out along the blade and the higher end weight for a single handed sword. This sword is fairly blade heavy and recovers poorly. Although I believe it would cut with some authority it would not be a sword
that one would want to fence with for any extended period of time. In the interests of fairness I would have to say that this sword does perform in line with most other items in its price range.
Appearance:
Aesthetically this sword is pretty nice. The blade is well finished with no discernible ripples or grind marks and the long fuller is well done. The grip though plain is certainly serviceable and the interesting pommel had no remarkable casting marks. The arms of the cross were well proportioned and symmetrical. As with most other Del Tin swords this one looks nice on the hip in a scabbard.
Conclusion:
Although this sword falls short in the performance department it is a nice sword especially when it comes to aesthetics for this price point.
