Performance Review:
When I first saw this sword on the Arms and Armor website I could not help thinking that it looked very, very similar to the Arms and Armor Henry V sword and I expected it to handle about the same and indeed it does. As can be noted in the statistics the balance point is out slightly further on the blade, but then it is a slightly large blade too and so it sort of evens out. The sword handles very nicely is fairly quick and short enough to be a really “handy” sword. (I recognize that this is a unquantifiable term, but I not know how else to describe it.
Appearance:
This sword was up to Arms and Armors usual high standards of quality. It had a nice clean blade expertly ground and very symmetrical. The hilt and pommel exhibited no major casting flaws and the neatly stitched black leather grip seemed to be nice and tight.
Conclusion:
To me all Arms and Armor swords are a must have. This sword exhibits Arms and Armors usual high degree of quality both in terms of handling and in terms of fit and finish. This sword however, is not substantially different then the Henry V sword in terms of handling or performance or even appearance and as such is somewhat low on my list since I already own the Henry V. If I owned this sword instead
of the Henry V then the same would be true.
