Performance Review:
Mr. Trim has made his living selling performance swords. That is tough swords that handle well, are easily maintained and handle well. This sword is typical of his work. The DN1532 is as is often the case with Angus Trim swords is balanced and weighted to be very fast. The sword can be swung effortlessly with one hand. It tracks very well and appears to have an adequate tip for thrusting.
Appearance:
Mr. Trim has improved the visual appeal of his swords measurably in the years since I held the first of his swords I had ever seen. In the early days his swords presented a very stark utilitarian type appearance. To some degree this is still the case but this sword had also had a nice leather over twine wrap applied and instead of having the basic cross guard of years gone past this one has an ever so slightly bent Oakeshott type 7 cross.
Conclusion:
As ever Mr. Trim has provided an eminently usable sword. Performance still appears to be his strong point although he has made steps in the aesthetics department as well. I believe this sword to be worth his asking price.
