Performance Review: I've called this sword a two hander not because if it's blade length (which would actually be short for a true two hander) but because of its extremely long grip which just begs for the sword to be handled with two hands. When handled with two hands the sword is surprisingly lively which is something of a change from many of the other Samson pieces that I've handled. This one practically begs to be cut with and although I did not get the chance since it was a customer's sword I have no doubt that it's massive weight combined with its handling would make short work of any target I could throw at it.

Appearance: For a Samson piece this is a relatively plain effort, but absolutely gorgeously done for all that. The fit and finish is absolutely outstanding. The assembly is nice and tight, and once more Mr. Samson has turned out one of the prettiest blades in the business. The wrap was nicely done baseball style and the fittings were nicely blued. It's a beautiful piece.

Conclusion: Mr. Samson really hit a home run with this one. I'm not into fantasy pieces but once more he has turned out a fantasy sword that I would be proud to own.
